Care Instructions

  • Quilt Care - Washing

The more you use your quilt, the softer it will become. That said, a quilt should only be washed a few times a year. Spot clean all dirt and stains.

When dirty, the proper way to wash your quilt is with cold water, on the delicate cycle, and a gentle detergent.

To dry your quilt, either hang it in a well-ventilated area or tumble dry on low heat.

  • Quilt Care - Storing

To prevent hard lines, creases, and wear on seams, fold your quilt differently each time it is put away.

When storing for an extended period, fold the quilt in thirds, then roll and place inside a pillowcase.

  • Waxed Canvas Care Instructions

Cozy Cotton Studio hand-waxes cotton canvas to provide water-resistant protection on some bags and pet accessories. We use both wet and dry waxing methods.

Products with waxed surfaces can lose coatings with age. Cozy Cotton Studio recommends maintaining the wax coating through regular conditioning.

NEVER expose waxed canvas to extreme heat. While exposure to hot climates will not ‘melt’ the wax entirely, hotter climates can degrade the coating quicker. More frequent conditioning is required under these conditions.
